Potrivit anexei nr. 1.2, stema comunei Băla se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, încărcat cu o funie răsucită în bandă, de argint. În partea dreaptă, în câmp roşu, se află 3 flori de prun, de aur. În partea stângă, în câmp albastru, se află o prigorie de aur cu roşu. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate Funia reprezintă motivul ornamental de pe ceramica dacică locală şi alte produse ale culturii din zonă, precum şi meşteşugul împletirii de funii. Pasărea reprezintă patrimoniul natural al zonei, cu atracţiile agroturistice. Florile de prun simbolizează bogăţia pomicolă a zonei. Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
