Jī-goân
Jī-goân (字元, Eng-gí: character; ì-sù: "jī") sī hui sò͘-bo̍k ê chu-liāu tī tiān-náu ê piáu-ta̍t hêng-sek. In-ūi óa-kīn ki-hâi ūn-chok goân-lí ê chu-liâu hêng-sek sī jī-chìn (binary) ê sìn-hō, it-poaⁿ chhái-ēng ê tiān-náu nā beh chhù-lí bûn-jī, su-iàu kā bí chi̍t-ê bûn-jī ê tan-goân (pí-lūn chi̍t-ê jī-bú) siat chi̍t-ê tùi-tâng ê sò͘-jī. Kui cho͘ ê tùi-tâng koan-hē tiō hō chò bûn-jī-bé (character code); ASCII sī kî-tiong phó͘-phiàn teh sú-iōng ê chi̍t thò.
