Doty ê siòng

Elihu Doty (1809 nî 9 goe̍h 20 ji̍t – 1864 nî 11 goe̍h 30 ji̍t) sī chi̍t ūi tī 19 sè-kí kòe Tiong-kok ê Bí-kok thoân-kàu-sū kiam giân-gú-ha̍k-chiá. I hū-chek liáu tē-it phō iōng Eng-gú choān-siá oân-sêng ê Bân-lâm-gú kàu-kho-su, iā chiū sī chāi 1853 nî chhut-pán ê Anglo Chinese Manual of the Amoy Dialect. Sui-jiân Pe̍h-ōe-jī ê khak-chhiat khí-goân iu-goân chûn-chāi gî-būn, tān-sī it-poaⁿ lóng kā i hām Táⁿ-má-jī tàu-tīn khoàⁿ-chò sī Pe̍h-ōe-jī ê hoat-bêng-chiá, ah chit thò bûn-jī hē-thóng kàu-taⁿ goân-chāi sī Bân-lâm-gú siōng chia̍p-khoàⁿ ê chiàⁿ-jī-hoat.
