Bongkrek suan (Bongkrek acid; iah-koh kiò-tsò "bongkrekic sng"[1]; Bí kànn kún suan (米酵菌酸), İâ sú kún suan (椰黍菌酸)[2][3][4]) sī tsi̍t-tsióng hoo-khip-tō ê to̍k-sòo, teh huat-kànn ê iâ-tsí hi̍k-tsiá gio̍k-bí tang-tiong sán-sing, siū-tio̍h ba̋i-kín "Burkholderia Gladioli Pathovar cocovenenans" ê u-jiám.[5][6][7] Bongkrek suan sī tsi̍t-tsióng ki̍k-to̍k, jia̍t ún-tīng, bô sik. ,bô bī, ko-tōo put-páu-hô ê sann-so sng (tricarboxylic acid), ē-tàng ap-tsè ADP/ATP tsuán-uī-muî (translocase), iah kiò-tsò suànn-lia̍p-thé ADP/ATP tsài-thé, ē-tàng tsóo-tsí ATP lī-khui suànn-lia̍p-thé uī kî-thann ê sè-pau thê-kiong "sin-tîn tāi-siā ê lîng-liōng" (metabolic energy).[7][8] Teh thàu-kuè siū u-jiám ê si̍t-bu̍t siap-ji̍p (consume) Bongkrek suan ê sî-tsūn, Bongkrek suan tsú-iàu tsiam-tuì kuann-tsōng, tuā-náu í-ki̍p io-tsí; pīng-tshiánn tshut-hiān lia̍h-thòo, làu-sái. jiō tē-liû (urinary retention), pak-thiànn í-ki̍p lâu-kuānn siunn-tsē tíng-tíng ê tsìng-thâu.[7] Tuā-to-sòo ê i̍k-tsîng huat-sing teh Ìn-nî hâm Tiong-kok; in-uī tsia--ê kok-ka ū teh si̍t-iōng huat-kànn iâ-tsí hâm huan-be̍h ê si̍t-phín.
