Kam bo̍k-su tī jī-tián ê thâu-sū kóng: "Góa sì-cha̍p gōa nî chêng, kàu Tâi-oân ê sî, lóng bô chit-hō ê jī-tián, iā lóng bô chai-iáⁿ ê sian-siⁿ tī-leh; só͘-í góa kín lâi chhut-la̍t, tōa ǹg-bāng che jī-tián ōe pang-cho͘ chōe-chōe lâng bat jī chiah khah ōe hiáu chīn pún-hūn." 1913 nî chhut-pán, chho͘-pán iû Yokohama Hok-im Ìn-soat Tu-sek Hōe-siā ìn-soat, Tâi-lâm Tâi-oân Kàu-hōe Kong-pò Siā hoat-hêng 1,000 chheh.[1] 1923 nî 7 goe̍h, tē-jī pán iû Pa-khek-lé bo̍k-su kàm-ìn, tī Yokohama ìn-soat ê sî tú-tio̍h 1923 nî 9 goe̍h chhe 1 ê Koan-tang Tōa Tē-tāng, ìn hó-sè ê 1,500 pún choân-pō͘ sio-tiāu, chí-hó kái tī Siōng-hái Siong-bū Ìn-su Koán têng ìn 1,000 pún, tī 1924 nî 8 goe̍h hoat-hêng. 1933 nî 8 goe̍h koh-chài hoat-hêng tē-sì pán 3,000 pún.

Kui pún chheh chi̍t khai-sí siu-lio̍k iok 15,000 jī, tāi-seng cheng-pó͘ ê sin-jī tōa-pō͘-hūn sī hòa-ha̍k goân-sò͘, tùi kho-ha̍k siá-chok ū pang-cho͘. Bóe-á jī-tián it-ti̍t chài-pán, mā ū sió-kóa cheng-pó͘, chhin-chhiūⁿ "kán-siá jī ê tiah-iàu" kap "Hàn-jī ê bo̍k-lio̍k" téng. Chit pún chheh sī Tâi-oân chit-má siāng thong-hêng ê Pe̍h-ōe-jī sû-tián chi-it, kàu 1997 nî ûi-chí í-keng hoan-ìn 19 pán.[2]

Chi̍t jī nā ū kúi-nā ê im, hit jī tiō ē tī kúi-nā ê só͘-chāi chhut-hiān, chhiūⁿ "目" chit jī ē chhut-hiān tī "ba̍k" kap "bo̍k"; "歌" chit jī ē chhut-hiān tī "ko" kap "koa".

Pian-pâi siōng, í tan-im-jī pian sêng, án jī-im iû A jī khí pâi-lia̍t; hām hit-tang-chūn ê Pe̍h-ōe-jī Sèng-keng kāng-khoán, ēng "ch" kap "ts" lâi khu-pia̍t 2 chióng kháu-im (chit-má Pe̍h-ōe-jī lóng siá chò "ch"); "ch" tī "e" kap "i" thâu-chêng, "ts" tī "a", "ng", "o", "o͘", "u" thâu-chêng (chhin-chhiūⁿ "十" siá "tsa̍p", "主" siá "tsú").

Ta̍k jī goân-chek-siōng chiàm chi̍t hâng, kán-tan siá chhut chù-kái kap iōng-hoat, hō͘ lâng bat-jī, thang chò sek-tòng ê èng-iōng. Jī-tián pō͘-hūn í-gōa koh ū hū-lio̍k, chhin-chhiūⁿ phó͘-thong tē-miâ kap lâng-miâ, Sèng-keng tē-miâ kap lâng-miâ, jī-sèⁿ, la̍k-cha̍p kah-chí kap kùi-cheh, jī-pō͘ téng-téng ê pió.
