Pún bûn-chiuⁿ sī koan-hē Tiong-hoâ Jîn-bîn Kiōng-hô-kok ê Hok-kiàn-séng. Chhōe Tiong-hoâ Bîn-kok kāng-miâ ê séng, khòaⁿ Hok-kiàn-séng (Tiong-hoâ Bîn-kok).

Hok-kiàn-séng (hàn-jī: 福建省), kán-chheng Bân (閩), sī Tiong-kok tang-lâm iân-hái ê chi̍t ê séng. Séng-hōe siat tī Hok-chiu. Tang-sai tn̂g-tō͘ tāi-iok 480 kong-lí, lâm-pak 530 kong-lí, thó͘-tē 12.4-bān pêng-hong kong-lí. Tang-pak-pêng chham Chiat-kang-séng sio-óa, sai-pêng kap sai-pak chham Kang-sai-séng sio-óa, sai-lâm-pêng sī Kńg-tang-séng. Tang-pêng sī Tâi-oân Hái-kiap, tùi-hōaⁿ sī Tâi-oân. Hok-kiàn ē-kha pun chò 1 ê hù-séng-kip-chhī, 8 ê tē-kip-chhī kap 1 ê si̍t-giām-khu.

Hok-kiàn ê tē-lí te̍k-tiám sī óa-soaⁿ koh óa-hái. Hok-kiàn ū chē-chē lia̍p soaⁿ, choân-séng soaⁿ-tē kap soaⁿ-lūn biān-chek chiàm choân-séng thó͘-tē ê 90%. Hok-kiàn choân-séng ū 62.96% sī chhiū-nâ, sī Tiong-kok kok-lāi tē-it. Hok-kiàn ê hái-hōaⁿ-osàⁿ tn̂g-tō͘ sī Tiong-kok kok-lāi tē-jī, hái-hōaⁿ oan-oat, koh ū chē-chē tó-sū. Hok-kiàn koan-kong chu-goân hong-hù, ū Bú-î-soaⁿ, Kó͘-lōng-sū, Chheng-goân-soaⁿ, Thài-bó͘-soaⁿ téng chū-jiân kong-kéng kap thó͘-lâu, An-pêng-kiô kap Sam-hong Chhit-hāng téng jîn-bûn kéng-koan.

Hok-kiàn ê bîn-cho̍k ho̍k-cha̍p, Hàn-cho̍k lóng-chóng chiàm 97.84%, m̄-koh ē-tàng pun chò Bân-lâng kap Kheh-lâng 2 ê tōa kûn-thé, Bâng-lâng ē-khá koh thang pun chò Bân-pak-lâng, Hok-chiu-lâng, Heng-hòa-lâng kap Bân-lâm-lâng. Chió-sò͘ bîn-cho̍k chú-iàu sī Siâ-cho̍k, chiàm chóng jîn-kháu ê 1%; lēng-gōa koh ū chi̍t-kóa Hôe-cho̍k kap Boán-chiu-cho̍k.

"Hok-kiàn" chit-ê miâ sī tī Tn̂g-tiâu chiah chhut-hiān—ê. "Bân" ê iōng-hoat siāng chá tī San-hái-keng lāi-bīn kóng tio̍h: "Bân chāi hái tiong" (閩在海中). Soat-bûn Kái-jī siá kóng: "Bân tong-lâm Oa̍t siâ-chéng" (閩東南越蛇種), tēng-gī "Bân" sī chông-pài chôa ê chéng-cho̍k. Kó͘-chá Hok-kiàn mā kiò chò Chhit-bân (七閩) kap Pat-bân (八閩). Chhit-bân sī kó͘-chá 7 ê chéng-cho̍k. Kong-gôan 2001-nî té, Hok-kiàn chôan-séng (Kim-mn̂g, Má-chó· bô-sǹg chāi-lāi) chóng jîn-khàu sī 3440-bān lâng. Hiān-tāi Hok-kiàn siōng tōa ê hui-Hàn-cho̍k cho̍k-kûn sī " Sia " (畲).

Hok-kiàn ê Kheh-lâng khah oàⁿ kàu. In tòa ê só͘-chāi khah chē tī Bân-sai soaⁿ-khu. Tâi-oân ê Kheh-lâng pō͘-hūn ū chó͘-sian tùi Hok-kiàn lâi.
